MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and nine other areas in Luzon are expecting heavy rains until late Tuesday night, Sept. 3, according to the state meteorologists.

In its 8:00 p.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said this is due to the southwest monsoon or habagat enhanced by Severe Tropical Storm Enteng.

“Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Tarlac, Pampanga, Batangas, Quezon, and Nueva Ecija which may persist within 3 hours,” Pagasa said in its update.
