SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — At least 127 village officials from Pangasinan attending a seminar at a hotel inside this free port were rushed to hospitals on Tuesday, Aug. 6, due to suspected food poisoning.

Medical personnel reported that the victims experienced symptoms such as vomiting and watery stools after eating lunch at the hotel.

Response teams from nearby Olongapo City quickly arrived at the hotel to assist.

Sixty-six individuals were admitted to various hospitals in the area, while others were discharged after treatment.

The victims, mostly Sangguniang Kabataan officials, were attending a gender and development seminar organized by the local government of San Carlos City.
