LEGAZPI CITY — The Bicol region has achieved full digital transformation following the launches of the mobile application eGovPH and the platform eLGU, the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Bicol said on Sunday.

According to DICT Bicol officer-in-charge Rachel Ann Grabador, preparing the region for digital readiness is crucial for creating an environment that meets the diverse needs of its people.

“The DICT is dedicated to spearheading the digital transformation to streamline bureaucracy and ensure government services are accessible to all, irrespective of location, gender, or socioeconomic status,” Grabador said.

“The eGovPH, a mobile application, and the eLGU system are robust platforms designed to facilitate seamless online transactions with the government, ensuring they are easy, efficient, transparent, accountable, and cost-effective,” she added.

Grabador also announced the final leg of the eGovPH launch scheduled for Monday, August 5, at a resort in Daet town, Camarines Norte. The initiative aims to further promote digital inclusivity across the region.

According to recent data from the DICT, over 80 percent of municipalities in the Bicol region have adopted digital governance solutions, marking a significant milestone in enhancing public service delivery.

The initiatives have enabled smoother interactions between citizens and government entities, contributing to a more responsive and efficient public administration.
