Intense rain showers forecast in NCR, Luzon provinces on Tuesday afternoon

MANILA, Philippines — Intense rain showers are expected to be experienced in Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon on Tuesday, according to the state weather bureau.

In a 1:14 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) said “heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds” will be experienced in the metropolis.

The places also include Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija and Laguna.

Pagasa said such weather will persist “within two hours.”

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Pampanga “within the next 2 hours” from the release of the advisory.

On Monday, fair and warm weather was forecast nationwide since no tropical cyclones were expected to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next few days.
