Pagasa issues thunderstorm advisory for Saturday afternoon

Rains may occur over areas in north and south Luzon Saturday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

MANILA, Philippines – Rain shower is expected over areas in north and south Luzon Saturday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

According to the thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Laguna, Cavite, Bataan and Tarlac may experience rains in the next two hours.

As of the issuance of the advisory, Pagasa said that rains were experienced over Bulacan, Zambales, Pampanga, Metro Manila, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon, and Nueva Ecija which may last up to two hours and can affect surrounding areas.

Pagasa likewise advised the public to take care from untoward events such as floods and landslides.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said.
