MANILA, Philippines — Areas in Northern and Southern Luzon may have rainy weather from Wednesday noon to afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

According to the 9:10 am thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), rains with lightning and strong winds may occur over Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.

The rains may start in the next two to three hours, Pagasa said.  

The agency added that as of the issuance of the advisory, rains were being experienced in  General Nakar, Real and Mauban in Quezon province, and it may last up to two hours and can affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said.
