MANILA, Philippines — House Speaker Martin Romualdez called on the public to “strengthen the bonds of kinship and friendship and to reach out to those in need” as he extended his greetings to Filipino Muslims observing the occasion of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.

“Eid Al-Adha is a time for personal devotion and an opportunity to unite as a community. “This occasion reminds us of the values of compassion, selflessness, and generosity, of being one in prayer and sacrifice to show unwavering faith. It is a time to strengthen the bonds of kinship and friendship and to reach out to those in need. Let us embrace these values in our daily lives and work towards building a more inclusive and caring society,” he added.

He also reminded Filipinos to be mindful of the ongoing challenges faced by the country.

“Together, let us strive for a future where peace and prosperity are not just aspirations but realities for all Filipinos,” the lawmaker said.
