Buy-bust operations in Laguna, Cavite yield over P922,000 worth of shabu

LUCENA CITY — Police confiscated more than P922,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from three suspected big-time drug traffickers who were arrested on Saturday, June 15, in buy-bust operations in Laguna and Cavite.

Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) on Sunday reported that police officers in San Pedro City, Laguna arrested alis “Michael” at 8:30 p.m. in Barangay (village) Bilibiran.

The suspect was found in alleged possession of three plastic sachets of meth weighing 53 grams with an estimated value of more than P360,000.

Earlier in the day in Calamba City, members of the anti-narcotics unit collared alias “Apat” in Barangay 3 around 4:23 a.m.

Seized from the suspect were five sachets containing shabu weighing 55 grams worth P374,000.

In Cavite, anti-illegal drug operatives in Silang town busted alias “Jayson” in Barangay Biga 1 around 7:15 p.m.

The suspect yielded four sachets of meth worth over P187,000 and a digital weighing scale.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.

The three arrested suspects are classified as high-value individuals or ‘HVI’ in the illegal drugs trade.

They were detained and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
