Gadon eyes impeachment raps vs SC execs who found him guilty of perjury
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential anti-poverty czar and disbarred lawyer Larry Gadon on Thursday said he is looking into filing an impeachment case against court officials who signed the order finding him guilty of perjury and fining him P150,000.
Gadon was found guilty by the Supreme Court (SC) of gross misconduct for committing perjury and making accusations based on hearsay.

“I am waiting for the official copy of the decision of the SC, so I can study if I might file an impeachment case against those who signed the order,” said Gadon in a statement to reporters.
Gadon insisted that the SC had no say on his case against former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, as it was filed in the House of Representatives.

“The SC has no power to declare any allegations therein as true or false,” said Gadon.

However, the SC stated that there was a separate case filed against him at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines which sought his disbarment.
“The Court found that Gadon committed perjury for making allegations in his impeachment complaint not based on his personal knowledge or on any authentic records, contrary to his sworn guarantee in the Verification attached to his complaint.
“Gadon knew that he never had any personal knowledge nor any authentic document to support the accusation that Sereno falsified a TRO (temporary restraining order) of the Court,” said the SC.
