SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least two hours of power interruption may hit some parts of this province on Thursday afternoon (May 23) due to the deficiency in power supply in Luzon grid.

In an advisory, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced that it may implement a manual load dropping at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Affected areas include the towns of Subic, Castillejos, San Marcelino, parts of San Antonio (Angeles and San Esteban), and parts of San Narcisio (Simminublan, Namatacan, and Dalipawen).

FEATURED STORIES

According to the NGCP, a manual load dropping or rotational power interruption involves the allocation and distribution of a limited supply of electricity to different areas.

The thin supply of power is due to the higher demand.

“The schedule may be canceled if the system improves, such as if actual demand falls below projects,” the NGCP said. INQ
