MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather with chances of isolated rain showers are expected to prevail in most parts of the country on Sunday due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms, according to the state weather bureau.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Luzon would have generally fair weather conditions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

“Ang buong bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila ay generally fair weather condition pa rin, mainit pa rin yung panahon lalong lalo na sa tanghali,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said in a morning forecast.

(Luzon, including Metro Manila, will generally have fair weather conditions or hot and humid weather, especially during noon.)

“Visayas at Mindanao pati sa bahagi Palawan magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap yung ating kalangitan at meron tayong posibilidad ng isolated at biglang panandaliang pagulan pagkidlat at pagkulog,” she added.

(Meanwhile, Visayas, Mindanao, and parts of Palawan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated or sudden rain showers and thunderstorms.)

Moreover, Castañeda reported that no gale warning was raised on any of the country’s seaboards.

She added that Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that will likely enter the Philippine area of responsibility or form within the country’s boundary for the next few days.
