MANILA, Philippines — Fire ignited from a pile of garbage in Muntinlupa on Monday afternoon, said the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Monday.

According to the BFP–Muntinlupa, the blaze was reported around 2:46 p.m. in a vacant lot along Sitio Rizal, Barangay Bagong Alabang.

The area is apparently being used by residents as a dumpsite.

“It is a verified rubbish fire,” the BFP told INQUIRER.net

It was declared under control at exactly 4:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, no injuries caused by the fire have so far been reported.
