MANILA, Philippines? The businessman facing grave threat charges filed by TV anchor Cheryl Cosim on Friday denied pointing a gun at Cosim and her companions over a traffic incident in Quezon City last month.
In his counteraffidavit submitted to the Quezon City prosecutors office, Richard Ordoñez claimed he only got down from his vehicle to gesture to Cosim?s party during the supposed altercation at the corner of Visayas and Congressional Avenues.
It was the first time that Ordoñez appeared before assistant city prosecutor Rodrigo del Rosario during the course of the preliminary investigation of the complaint for grave threats and illegal possession.
In his six-page answer to the charges, the trader denied having brought out or pointed a gun at the TV anchor and her friends on Nov. 2.
?It is not true that the respondent (Ordoñez) alighted from his vehicle and pointed a gun at the complainants. Respondent did not even bring a gun with him as he merely went to get a haircut and to immediately go back home afterwards,? he said.
