MANILA, Philippines ? Unidentified men fired at a television news crew covering events in Maguindanao province that has been placed under martial rule.

The crew of GMA Network?s Davao affiliate was headed towards Datu Hoffer Ampatuan at around 9 a.m. when they were shot at, according to local reporter John Paul Seniel in an interview over dzBB radio.

Seniel said they were going to the town hall to film a documentary. No one was hurt in the incident.

The news team immediately sought assistance to the nearby military checkpoint.

?Pinayuhan kami na umalis na sa Maguindanao at mainit [sa GMA] ang mga supporters ng Ampatuan [We were advised to leave Maguindanao as supporters of Ampatuan were hot on our trail],? Seniel said.

The attack was the second time in less than a day in the province.

Armed men, believed to be supporters of the powerful family suspected of being behind the murders of 57 people last November 23, also fired at a military and police convoy that was headed towards General Santos City Thursday night.

No one was hurt in the attack.

The convoy was transporting evidence obtained from the raid at the house of Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr.

Officials said the attack was a form of intimidation.
