MANILA, Philippines ? The Light Railway Transit 1 line resumed operations shortly before noon Saturday following a half-day suspension due to a power outage, according to the Light Rail Transit Administration.
LRTA Administrator Mel Robles said in a phone interview that Line 1 trains rolled out at around 11:50 a.m.
The power outage that temporarily shut operations took place around 6 a.m.
Robles declined to estimate how many passengers may have been affected.
He explained that weekend volumes were usually low and more so on Saturday because of typhoon ?Santi? (international codename: Mirinae) and All Saints? Day.
