MANILA, Philippines ? Jose Rizal University notched its seventh win in eight games after trouncing St. Benilde, 73-63, in the NCAA men?s basketball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Bombers tied San Beda at second with a 7-1 record, while the Blazers wrapped up the elimination round with a 4-5 slate.

JRU and San Beda clash on Monday.

In the earlier game, Arellano University snapped a four-game losing slide with an 85-70 victory over Perpetual Help.
