MANILA, Philippines -- Mapua remained in the hunt for a Final Four berth in the NCAA men's basketball tournament as the Cardinals rallied past Philippine Christian University, 63-60, Monday at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Rookie guard Allan Mangahas tallied 16 points, including the game's last three, inside the final 1:20, to lift the Cardinals to their sixth victory in 11 matches.

The Cardinals, running fifth, need to sweep their remaining matches and hope San Beda, Jose Rizal, Letran and San Sebastian don't go beyond eight wins to have a solid chance of making the semifinals.

Next up for the Cardinals is a crucial duel with the Knights, who earlier defeated University of Perpetual Help Altas, 74-66. They play on Friday.
