IT was unplanned, but supporters of the Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) filled the San Pedro Calungsod Chapel in the South Road Properties (SRP) to the brim for a thanksgiving mass yesterday afternoon.
The gun ban, random checkpoints, the volunteers, and the public’s cooperation helped make the Nov. 30 thanksgiving Mass for Saint Pedro Calungsod a success.
While the Nov. 30 National Thanksgiving Mass in Cebu City was generally successful, a weak sound system was a major hitch that church organizers will be looking into.

The euphoria over the successful holding of the National Thanksgiving Mass held at the Templete de Pedro in Cebu City’s South Road Properties (SRP) continues. I had to content myself with watching the program on live streaming and I can’t imagine how the SRP’s 27 hectares could be filled with so many people. More than 1 million were there last Friday – young and old, the able and the lame, the poor and the rich, the who’s who and the hoi polloi.
