Proponents of FOI bill agree on one version

Some of the authors of various versions of the freedom of information (FOI) bill in the House of Representatives have agreed to adopt just one version to speed up the process of producing a single consolidated measure, and to ensure that there will be fewer stumbling blocks to the bill’s passage.

SQA extension on RH law means more mothers dying every day—lawmakers

The Supreme Court now has more time to decide on the fate of the controversial Reproductive Health Law after it decided to extend the status quo ante (SQA) order on the new law but it meant “more mothers dying every day because of unplanned pregnancies,” co-authors of the measure in the House of Representatives said on Tuesday.
