New route to speed up travel to north

Travelers bound for provinces in northern Luzon will find their travel times cut by 20 minutes to an hour on Holy Week, with the April 16 opening of a section of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) to traffic.

Road to northern growth opens

The towns of Anao, Pura and Victoria are likely to become new investment hubs similar to export processing zones following the opening on Monday of the 16.7-kilometer Tarlac City-Gerona portion of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx).

Expressway almost complete, but farmers yet to be paid

The 9-kilometer stretch of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) in this eastern Pangasinan town is about 75 percent complete, but none of the farmers whose lands were used for the highway has received full payments for their property, a project consultant said.
