The future of the 35 employees of Sugbo TV and Sugbo News appears bleak after acting Gov. Agnes Magpale shut down the operation of these two province-owned media outlets on Friday.
The closure of Sugbo TV and Sugbo News stemmed from budget concerns and is only temporary pending a review of its programs, acting Gov. Agnes Magpale said yesterday.
Changes have begun as a new administration under Acting Gov. Agnes Magpale started looking into expenses of TV and radio programs paid for by the Cebu provincial government.
SUGBO TV, Cebu province’s cable television channel, will now be carried in several cable operating stations in the country.
