Senator Edgardo Angara has invited his fellow senator Sergio Osmeña III to visit Casiguran, Aurora, and see for himself whether his allegations against the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone (Apeco) are correct.
Sen. Sergio Osmeña III on Tuesday vowed to block the P353-million budget next year for the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (Apeco), saying Sen. Edgardo Angara’s pet project has “absolutely no chance of succeeding in 50 years” and that the P2 billion spent for it had been wasted.
The Senate on Tuesday began its inquiry into the P111-billion President’s Bridge Program allegedly implemented with irregularities during the term of former President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo.
Senator Sergio Osmeña III on Monday disclosed what he called the “grandmother of all scams” that involved the building of a number of bridges and ports in the country.
