Senate MOOE budget doubled under Enrile – Alan Cayetano

The budget for the maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOEs) of the Senate has allegedly doubled when Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile assumed his post in 2008, Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano revealed on Wednesday.

Senators’ hefty budget bared

Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile opened a can of worms on Wednesday when he admitted giving 18 senators a total of P2.2 million each last year while exposing the hefty budget of up to P25 million that his critics and some members of the minority group have allegedly been getting for their committees.
