3 NPA rebels killed, 3 soldiers injured in Zamboanga del Sur clash

1 soldier killed, 2 hurt in Basilan roadside bombing

A soldier was killed and two were hurt in a roadside bombing incident in Basilan Monday morning, the military said. Soldiers from the Army’s 3rd Scout Ranger Company were on security patrol when an improvised bomb exploded along the circumferential road in Cabangalan village in Ungkaya Pukan, Basilan, Captain Alberto Caber told reporters Tuesday.
