USS Guardian caused 1,000 square meters damage to Tubbataha Reef — PCG

Damage on Tubbataha Reef caused by the US Navy minesweeper that ran aground in Sulu Sea has been estimated at 1,000 square meters based on initial assessment, the Philippine Coast Guard said Wednesday.

Six people have died and four others are missing in floods that swept through Mindanao still reeling from a deadly typhoon disaster, authorities said Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.
