New storm to be named ‘Seniang’

The weather bureau said Thursday that if the low pressure area (LPA) east of Mindanao becomes a storm and enters the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), it will be named “Seniang.”

US Navy upgrades ‘Ruby’ to ‘supertyphoon’

The US Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) has upgraded Typhoon “Ruby” into a “supertyphoon.” The storm entered the Philippine area of responsibility early Thursday morning.

‘Queenie’ kills two; to hit Palawan Friday night
