No problems in mock polls, says Brillantes

There were some glitches but no major problems. Comelec Chair Sixto Brillantes Jr. acknowledged only “minor” problems in the dry run for the May 2013 elections that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) conducted on Saturday in 10 selected areas across the country.

Comelec mulls tapping Namfrel to monitor election money

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is poised to delegate the task of monitoring campaign finances to the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) in its bid to ensure that candidates in the 2013 balloting won’t be elected through illicit funds.
