When the Inquirer Mindanao visited the coastal village of Dahican here on Friday noon, there was none of the usual crashing of the waves. The sea was calm—not ideal for skim boarding or surfing.
Three persons were killed in a landslide along the highway in Mati City in Davao Oriental on Tuesday. The national road linking Mati City to Tarragona town became passable Wednesday, more than 12 hours after a landslide blocked a stretch of the road, according to Lieutenant Hermie Montelibano, information officer of the Army’s 28th Infantry Battalion (IB).
