Bomb squad blows up WWII dud, Tokyo trains halted

A bomb squad has destroyed an unexploded bomb left over from World War II that was found in the Japanese capital. The work left crowds of commuters temporarily stranded Tuesday as local lines and the long-range bullet trains that link Tokyo with other cities were halted as a safety precaution.

A Nepalese official says 80-year-old Japanese mountaineer Yuichiro Miura has become the oldest man to reach the top of Mount Everest.
