Former President George H.W. Bush’s condition continued to improve Saturday, prompting doctors to move him out of intensive care, a spokesman said.

A family spokesman said Friday that former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, who has been hospitalized for more than a month, “continues to improve” but remained in intensive care at a Texas hospital.

Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to a hospital intensive care unit after ” a series of setbacks including a persistent fever,” but is alert and talking to medical staff, his spokesman said.
