At least 32 persons, six of them adults, were arrested by the police for violating the city’s firecrackers ban on Christmas Eve.

Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay said Monday that a ban on pyrotechnics and firecrackers would remain in effect in three areas located near the West Tower condominium building on Osmeña Highway where an oil leak was detected last year.
FOR safety reasons, the Mandaue City Fire Department recommended to ban the sale of firecrackers within the city.
