Docs report 12 new cases of HIV-AIDs daily in PH

The government needs to adopt an aggressive advocacy campaign to curb the rising number of people inflicted with HIV-AIDs. Dr. Enrique Tayag, assistant health secretary, in a visit here said a total of 380 new HIV cases have been recorded in January this year, the highest increase since the government began monitoring HIV-AIDS cases in 1984.

‘Bareback’ orgies raise HIV cases to record levels

The Philippines posted its highest ever increase in the number of new HIV infections in January and the number is expected to increase even further in the near future, a Department of Health (DOH) official said on Friday.

’Cracker injured rise to 862
