GSIS opens emergency loan to members in Maguindanao, Cotabato

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Friday announced the grant of emergency loan to more than 14,000 members working or residing in the Province of Maguindanao and Cotabato City, which were both affected by heavy rains and declared as calamity areas by their respective provincial and city councils.

Difficulties arising from natural calamities that hit the country last year prompted some 524,000 members of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Social Security System (SSS) to take out a total of P9 billion in emergency loans.
