PMA: Arroyo doctor flip-flops

The cardiologist of former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has apologized after being scolded by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) for publicly saying that she needed immediate cervical spine surgery and that she should get it abroad because there were no specialists here who could handle the operation.

‘Gloria Macapagal Arroyo must get 2nd opinion in New York’

The cardiologist who said that former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo had a “life-threatening” blockage in her neck has advised the Pampanga representative to seek a second opinion from a specialist in New York, according to Arroyo ally, Quezon Rep. Danilo Suarez.
