Manuel Araullo was appointed as the country’s third chief justice on Nov. 1, 1921, upon the death of Chief Justice Victorino Mapa. He received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Santo Tomas, where he became a professor. He died in Manila on July 26, 1924.
