Five men were arrested and P1.3 million in alleged drug money was recovered in a police raid early Wednesday in a Caloocan City slum area. Armed with search and arrest warrants, a composite team led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group conducted the 5 a.m. operation in Barangay 188 in the Tala area.

A man was found dead Friday in Caloocan City after drowning in floodwater brought by tropical storm “Mario” (international name: Fung-Wong), according to the Philippine Red Cross.
