The Office of the Ombudsman on Monday ruled that suspended Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and five other provincial officials of Cebu are guilty of grave misconduct in connection with the questionable purchase of the Balili property in Naga in 2008.
The Provincial Board will formally ask the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) to clarify the status of the Balili property in barangay Tina-an, Naga City Cebu in relation to its proposed re-classification as a special economic zone.
