The Philippine National Police (PNP) reiterated their warning against illegal firecrackers as the New Year’s celebration draws near.
Seven people were arrested after police seized illegal firecrackers in separate operations in Laguna and Cavite provinces on Thursday.
Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma urged the public to refrain from using firecrackers to welcome the New Year.
