Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales on Monday ordered the filing of criminal charges against the so-called “Euro Generals” before the Sandiganbayan in connection with questionable disbursement of Philippine National Police (PNP) intelligence/confidential funds for their travel expenses to Russia in 2008.

The Office of the Ombudsman on Thursday filed before the Sandiganbayan criminal charges against a retired general and his wife for violating bank regulations and retirement rules of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the infamous “Euro Generals” case in 2008.
