KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines-?A former vice mayor of Bayang, Lanao del Sur, was shot dead while standing near a small sari-sari (retail) store in Kabacan, North Cotabato, on Sunday in what police said could be a clan war-related killing.
Senior Insp. Frank Anito, Kabacan police chief, identified the victim as Sanil Rajamuda, 50, who had relocated to Kabacan.
Rajamuda died instantly from multiple bullet wounds.
Anito said police arrested three suspects based on witnesses? descriptions. He identified them as Randy Cadatuan Dimalungan, the alleged trigger man; Musali Abdullah, alleged lookout; and Abdul Abdullah, driver of the getaway vehicle.
The three are now detained at the Kabacan police cell, he said.
Anito said clan feud, or rido, could be the possible motive for the killing.
