MANILA, Philippines--The United States embassy in Manila on Monday announced that it will resume public services on Tuesday, September 29.
"American citizens with flood-related emergency inquiries can contact the American Citizen Services (ACS) office at acsondoy@yahoo.com.ph or at the main US embassy telephone number: 301-2000. ACS will be open for American citizens with appointments or emergencies," it said in its advisory.
"Those without appointments needing non-emergency services are requested to postpone their visit to the embassy, if possible. Please check the US embassy website at manila.usembassy.gov for any updates," it added.
The embassy was closed Monday for cleanup and repair as it was also flooded Saturday when typhoon Ondoy dumped the most amount of rains in 40 years.
