Fake combs seized

NATIONAL BUREAU of Investigation agents seized P1.4-million worth of fake Springmaid combs and toothbrushes in raids conducted recently in Angeles, Olongapo and Bacolod cities.
Armed with search warrants issued by Manila Judge Reynaldo Ros, the agents raided 2030, 268 Shopper’s Mart, Ninety-Nine Point Nine Boutique, and Chuzon Souvenir Center, all in San Nicholas, Angeles City.
In Olongapo City, they searched the premises of SXY, WBT General Merchandise and H.C. General Merchandise.
They raided K-Mart, J. Lee Marketing, Bacolod JT Marketing, J-Hock Marketing, New China Enterprises Inc., Bacolod 398 Marketing, Unibest Marketing and I.U. Marketing, all in Bacolod City.
Owners of the businesses face charges of violation of Republic Act No. 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, the NBI said.
