MANILA, Philippines--Two members of a popular dance group lost more than P300,000 in cash and valuables to thieves who broke into their apartment in Quezon City over the weekend.
In a report to the Quezon City Police District?s Police Intelligence Operations Unit, Eiraliz Bermudez, 26, and Aifha Medina, 23, members of the Sexbomb Dancers, said they left on an out-of-town trip on Saturday.
They added while they were gone, they left their apartment on Matatag Street in Barangay Pinyahan in the care of a houseboy.
The houseboy, however, also left the apartment on Saturday and did not return until the following day.
Medina and Bermudez said that when they came home to the apartment on Sunday afternoon, they found out that someone had destroyed the lock on the front door.
The cabinets inside the house had also been opened, with their contents in disarray.
Case investigator PO3 Justo Curameng said the theft happened between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. the following day.
Bermudez said she lost cash and jewelry amounting to P50,000, a laptop computer and two iPods.
On the other hand, Medina told the police she was missing P50,000 in cash, a lady?s watch, a necklace and a gaming console.
All in all, the two said they lost P353,000 worth of cash, jewelry and gadgets.
