A TEENAGER KILLED HERSELF on All Saints? Day by drinking a glass of juice laced with silver cleaning fluid following an argument with her live-in partner.

The police said the last words of Jennifer Joy Maglente, 16, to Jayson Chompico were: ?You?re too late. I already drank it.?

She was later declared dead on arrival by doctors at the Tondo General Hospital.

The couple, both residents of Building 20 in Vitas, Tondo, earlier went to the house of Maglente?s kin on Matiyaga Street, also in Tondo. Maglente then asked Chompico to go back to their house and get her some clothes so that they could go to the cemetery.

PO3 Jonathan Bautista of the Manila Police District homicide section said it took some time before Chompico came back and he and Maglente had an argument over this.

Maglente then stormed out of her relative?s house and returned to their home in Building 20 where she locked herself inside their room.

Chompico, meanwhile, followed his partner and when she refused to answer his repeated knocks, broke down the door to their room.

By then, Maglente had already drank the poison. She managed to embrace Chompico before she lost consciousness.
