UST fun event set

AN EVENT dubbed “The First Cut” will be held on July 5 at the UST Sports Complex covered court. The activity, which starts with a Mass at 6:30 a.m., will kick off the celebration on September 12 of the Diamond (75th) Foundation Year of UST’s Chemical Engineering Department. After the Mass and a campus fun-walk, participants will be treated to a free brunch. To make the day more memorable, prizes will be given to bingo and raffle game winners. Lopez rites

MANILANS will mark today the 51st death anniversary of Honorio Lopez, a man who wielded both his pen and sword during the Philippine revolution 113 years ago. Masses for Lopez will be said at the St. Joseph Gagalangin Church, Tondo Church and Manila Tayuman Cathedral in Manila to be followed by a program at 8:30 a.m. at the Sentro Ng Karunungan Building in Tayuman.

Paseo exhibit

MARC Josef Velasquez and Regina Jardiolin, upcoming artists from the UP College of Fine Arts, opened their first exhibit on June 23 at the Paseo Gallery at the Artwalk, 4th level, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. It will be on display until July 6. Marc is presenting two huge oil paintings while Regina is exhibiting four smaller works in acrylic. Jonathan Olazo is exhibit curator.
