MANILA, Philippines?Armed robbers pulled A heist at a dental clinic in Malate, Manila Thursday afternoon, stealing close to P500,000 worth of cash and electronic gadgets.
Apart from ransacking the dental clinic owned by dentist Robert John Hilario on Leon Guinto and Pasaje de Galvan Streets in Malate, the two suspects pistol-whipped the dentist?s common-law wife, Farida De Jesus, before fleeing aboard a black Honda Wave motorcycle with no license plates.
Manila Police District (MPD) theft and robbery section head Chief Inspector Benigno Macalindong said the robbery happened at around 2:30 p.m., with one of two men posing as a dental clinic patient.
Macalindong said that while Hilario was attending to the man, the purported patient excused himself saying he had to call his companion. However, when the two men returned, they were already armed with guns and announced the heist.
The thieves took P360,000 cash, a digital camera worth P50,000, a mobile phone worth P13,000, a portable play station priced at P15,000, and a leather wallet.
