MANILA, Philippines—Burglars ransacked a computer service center in San Juan City, carting away three high-end laptops and other valuables worth at least P200,000, the police said Sunday.

The theft was discovered at about 9 a.m. Saturday inside Power Mac Center Inc. at the Lumier Chateau Building at 285 P. Guevarra Street, according to a report of the Eastern Police District.

Police said the still unidentified robbers broke into the store by sliding into the “window-type air-conditioner opening.” They then bagged several items on display in the shop.

Stolen were three MacBook computers worth P180,000 and an undetermined number of iPod music players, the report said, adding that other items not immediately identified could have been stolen as well.

The police said it was the establishment’s supervisor, Salvador Catbagan, 38, who discovered the burglary when he reported for work on Saturday morning.

He immediately alerted his boss, Lawrence Sison, who reported the incident to the police.

A team of Scene of the Crime Operatives led by Senior Insp. Marilyn Lopez inspected the shop and collected fingerprints in the hope of identifying the robbers.
