MANILA, Philippines – A 50-year-old fruit vendor was allegedly robbed of P100,000 in cash and then shot in the temple before dawn Friday in Manila.
Freddie Quila, of Alaminos, Pangasinan, was found dead on the driver’s seat of his Isuzu Elf truck (REZ-437) at around 3:45 a.m. His belongings were ransacked by the assailant.
Police are now looking for a certain Jomar who allegedly had been at odds with Quila.
Investigators theorized that Quila might have been startled awake when the suspect took his cash.
