MANILA, Philippines – A 15-year-old girl left an apology to her mother in her cellular phone before allegedly hanging herself early Friday morning in Bangkal, Makati City.
The victim, a junior at Bangkal High School, was found around 1 a.m. by her father on the roof of their home on General Luna Street. A cable wire was tied around her neck that was attached to the laundry line. The father rushed the teenager to the Ospital ng Makati but she was pronounced dead on arrival by attending doctor Mark Banzon.
An initial investigation by PO3 Nilo Sadsad of the Makati City Police homicide section showed that the victim’s mother saw her daughter in bed around 10 p.m. on Thursday talking to her two younger sisters.
Three hours later, the mother said she was awakened when she felt someone “kiss” her. She checked on her daughters and noticed one was missing.
When she checked her cell phone, she read the message: “Nay sori po if ngawa q 2. Cguro dhl na dn po sa lungkot q. Gusto q po mg sori dhl naging pasaway me sau nay. Sori po tlga. Sana po mpatawad nio q. Salamat. (Mom I’m sorry I did this. Maybe it’s because I feel sad. I’m sorry because I haven’t been a good daughter. I hope you can forgive me. Thanks.)”
Though evidence pointed to suicide, Sadsad said they would not rule out foul play until the autopsy results are released.
