Metro Manila ranked eighth out of 17 regions in the National Achievement Test (NAT) for elementary students in the academic year 2006-2007 with a mean percentage score of 60.2. Eastern Visayas ranked first with a score of 74.1 percent.
The NAT aims to determine the performance of students in Mathematics, English, Science, Filipino and Social Studies.
